EEW Eco Energy World (‘EEW’), founded by entrepreneur Svante Kumlin, is an independent global pure-play renewable energy projects developer, historically focusing on utility-scale solar photovoltaic (‘PV’) projects, having expanded recently to solar plus battery energy storage systems (‘BESS’) projects and currently also targeting servicing the green hydrogen industry. The Role

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Planning Expert to join our project development team in the UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, managing, and executing strategies to secure planning consent for our solar and BESS projects in the country.

Key Responsibilities


    • Develop planning strategies for the development of solar and BESS projects.
    • Prepare and submit planning applications to local authorities.
    • Liaise with local authorities and stakeholders to ensure compliance with planning regulations.
    • Manage the planning process and monitor progress of applications.
    • Provide advice on planning issues to internal and external stakeholders.
    • Work with the project team to ensure planning requirements are met.
    • Provide support to other departments as required.
Essential Requirements


    • Bachelor's degree in Planning, Environmental Studies or a related field.
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in planning.
    • Knowledge of planning regulations and policies in the UK.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Proficient in the use of planning software and Microsoft Office.
