With more than ten years of experience and 1400 MW developed, across Europe and Asia-Pacific, Eco Energy World is one of the pioneers of the solar power industry. We develop modern solar power stations around the world; generating clean and renewable energy. Our diverse team, combines technical skills with a rigorous commercial mind-set, borne of more than a decade in the business. This unique blend of skills and experience enables us to drive and deliver every stage of solar power plant development to lowest CAPEX enabling our projects to compete with any power generation.

Our unique business model is entirely focused on the non-subsidised solar and renewable energy market which globally offers a potential 2,000 GW market up to 2040, providing a circa USD$10 trillion opportunity.

Since our establishment, EEW has built a strong track record in the industry, developing excellent relationships with key players in the renewable and energy sectors. EEW interacts with financial investors, infrastructure funds and private equity firms as well as with large utility players and oil & gas companies.

EEW’s business model is to sell projects when they are Ready to Build (‘RTB’), which has been the historic foundation of our operation.

Svante Kumlin
CEO

Svante Kumlin is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of renewable energy developer Eco Energy World (EEW). In addition to his role as CEO, he is also a board member of EEW.

The serial entrepreneur launched his first company at the age of 20, and over the past 38 years he has worked in several industries, growing multiple businesses from start-up to mature enterprises. With experience in M&A, private equity, and venture capital investments, he has built on this experience, successfully drawing investment into his company, Eco Energy World a leading, global developer of utility-scale solar energy projects.

Svante Kumlin has a track record of successful exits from his ventures and investments, and now focuses his energy on ensuring a clean future for all. He has spent the past 20 years focusing on green technology industries such as oil recovery from submerged tankers, solar module production, recyclable office supplies, and renewable energy development, as well as hydrogen production.

Passionate about the clean energy industry, he is at the forefront of new commercial and technical solutions for the race to net-zero emissions, and for the past 13 years has focused on the development of solar power and renewable energy projects.

Svante Kumlin has deep expertise in renewable energy and finance and has positioned himself as one of the leading voices in the industry on solar and green hydrogen technology. He is a frequent speaker and attendee at renewable energy events and conferences around the world. In addition to industry events, he is often invited to green energy conferences on behalf of UK and Australian governments, parliamentary representatives, and diplomats. Previously, he has been a speaker at the Green Hydrogen Summit and a panelist as part of the Technology to Zero Summit at COP26.

Panagiotis Sarris
COO

Panagiotis Sarris has 18 years of successful track record in renewables, with emphasis in the solar (photovoltaic) sector. Before joining EEW, his longer engagements in the sector had been with the German developers ABO Wind AG and juwi AG, for a total of 11 years.

In ABO Wind AG, he led the company's newly established solar division, as General Manager and Member of the Management Board, contributing materially to the fast development of company's multi-GW global solar pipeline. Earlier, in juwi AG, he directed the successful market entry and company operations, in Greece and Turkey, as Chairman of the BoD and Managing Director of juwi's local subsidiaries. Shorter engagements of his in the sector include leading of the start-up of Conergy AG in Greece and an energy consulting firm in the UK. Before renewables, his primary focus had been the telecoms sector, for about 10 years. He is an Electrical Engineer with postgraduate studies in UCL, UK.

Kaveh Ertefai
CFO

Kaveh has over 20 years of experience in renewable energy, private equity and investment banking. Prior to joining EEW, he served as CEO of a private equity partnership focused on renewable energy and also founded and served as CEO of solar start-up - responsible for 1,600 staff in Europe, the US and Asia across manufacturing, technology, and project development businesses. He has been involved in over 1.5 GW utility-scale solar transactions globally. Kaveh started his career at UBS Investment Bank based in New York, London and Dubai advising and leading transactions for a broad range of institutions in over 20 countries. He holds a TRIUM Global Executive MBA (LSE, HEC Paris, NYU – Stern) and a B.S. in Finance & Economics (NYU – Stern)

Reza Ghanei
CCO

Reza has more than 12 years' experience in the renewables sector in the UK and internationally. He established Maxsun Ltd, a JV partnership with a European IPP to develop, finance and construct utility-scale Solar PV in the EMEA region. He has also served as a key account manager to Ameresco Inc., structuring energy efficiency programs in the C&I sector to reduce energy bills and cut carbon emissions.

He studied engineering at Cambridge University.

Katja Loncaric
General Counsel

Katja brings over a decade of legal experience to EEW, having previously worked at Avonhurst, where she served as a lawyer across finance, public and private corporate, advising clients in relation to structuring, raising capital for and executing complex investment transactions and exits across a wide range of industries including energy, power, commodities, shipping, infrastructure, natural resources and technology.

Qualified in England & Wales and New York, Katja developed her experience in private practice at leading international law firms, including at Norton Rose Fulbright and Clifford Chance, where she regularly advised on complex, large-scale and first-of-kind cross-border project finance transactions in energy and infrastructure, across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America. She has acted for sovereigns, developers, global construction consortia, trading companies, and oil & gas majors as well as their financiers, including financial institutions, MLAs and ECAs.

Vera Spiridopoulo
Board Member

Vera is a strategic and financial leader with expertise in governance, global capital markets, venture capital, strategic business scaling and risk management. In the past, she has enabled international corporates and banks successfully access capital markets and has led many innovative strategic financings, acquisitions, reorganisations, as well as risk and asset-liability management solutions for institutions facing complex problems. She has a strong financial and commercial acumen and proficiency across a broad range of ESG issues and stakeholder relationship management.
Vera holds an Executive MBA from the London Business School and a BA with honours in Economics and Business from Lafayette College. She is also a certified Board Director by Institute of Directors and hold a CFA ESG qualification.
