Svante Kumlin welcomes new Head of Australia to EEW

Eco Energy World, a leading developer of utility-scale solar energy projects, announces today the appointment of Piers Warren, as Head of Australia, with immediate effect.

Piers’ appointment as Head of Australia comes as EEW continues to consolidate its leading position in Australia in Australia to date with an additional 1 GW in the pipeline, to reach Ready to Build status latest by 2025.

Piers joins EEW as Head of Australia with over 15 years’ management experience and has previously worked on developing a 250 MW solar farm in Queensland, which is set to be part of the Western Downs Green Power Hub. Piers has strong experience in the most crucial aspects of solar PV development, including site identification and feasibility assessment, environmental permitting and managing stakeholder groups from local government to landowners.

Svante Kumlin, Chief Executive of EEW, said:

"EEW is currently developing a portfolio of solar farms nation-wide, ranging from 5 MW to multi-hundred-MW scale. I am pleased to welcome Piers to the firm to lead this initiative. His deep knowledge in solar PV development, specifically, his skills related to site identification and feasibility assessment, will enable EEW to further expand its operations in Australia."
